Nice to meet you, I’m Hayley!

I started The Haberdashery Lab after moving to Oxford from London, where I worked (and still do work) as a seamstress and tailor for some of the biggest names in fashion and music, alongside running my own label.

I am obsessed with all things design, cut and construction, and have honed my skills over many years of experimentation and a quest to understand how everything in constructed from the inside out. My camera roll is filled with mirror selfies of the things I’ve made and I want yours to be the same!

In my new city I found limited options for guided and inspirational sessions for design and sewing enthusiasts, so I decided to set up my own. My classes are for people who want to make clothes they feel proud to wear.

Through weekly sessions in North Oxford I share my knowledge in relaxed and experimental 2-hour classes so that people of all abilities can develop their skills with techniques that will make their journey a joy.
